The Inclusive AI Project helps non-technical people engage seriously with AI and AI safety. We use interactive film to make that learning effective and measurable.

The Race to Superintelligence: You Decide
A hyper-realistic AI-generated interactive film on AI safety, currently in development and seeking funding.
With permission from the AI Futures Project, the film will be based on AI-2030 — the forthcoming sequel to the highly successful AI-2027 scenario.
The story: the CEO of a US AI company must choose between racing to build superintelligent AI and slowing down to address the safety risks. Viewers make that decision themselves. Choose to race ahead and you see a dystopian AI future where human freedom is sharply curtailed. Choose to slow down and you see a positive future where humanity flourishes.
After the story, viewers make a second decision: what should we actually do in real life? Each viewer receives a different call to action matched to their own position.
We will run a controlled study comparing the interactive film to a standard AI safety video — testing whether interactive choices produce better recall, attitude change and real-world action than passive viewing.
AI Basics: Thrills or Chills?
A participatory, film-based workshop on AI and AI safety built around an interactive film. Free to attend.
Delivered in dozens of sessions, including to the UK Home Office, UK Cabinet Office, Cornell University, the World Bank and Cambridge colleges. In a survey of Home Office civil servants, 89% said the session made a very great or extreme change to their understanding of AI's social implications. A recall study found the interactive format produced 91% better retention of key facts than the same content in linear form.
